Blog #3: English Language or Our Mother Tongue

Modern English is the dominant language or in some instances even the required international language of communications, science, information technology, business, seafaring, aviation, entertainment, radio and diplomacy. Its spread beyond the British Isles began with the growth of the British Empire, and by the late 19th century its reach was truly global.

Filipino is a prestige register of the Tagalog language, and the name under which Tagalog is designated the national language of the Philippines, as well as an official language alongside English. Tagalog is a first language of about one-third of the Philippine population.

For me, I prefer to speak in Filipino because it is our mother tongue. Most of the number of populations was using that language. But, English language is very important because It is the international language. We used that to communicate to other countries.
